Cake by the Ocean

So we got married! It was the most beautiful, magical and windy day ever!

We got married in the seaside village of Thorepeness. Friends and family from around the country came to stay for the long Easter weekend. The country club, where we spent the day overlooked the beach, due to the weather weren’t able to be outside but the violent sea and strong winds just added to the drama!

We went for a beachy nautical feel for obvious reasons but were not going to spend thousands on decoration, we felt a backdrop of the sea and beach did all the hard work for us!

We spent the Friday fluffing peach and blue pom poms (and ebay find Β£25 for 80) to spread around to give a bit of colour to the place. The venue came with twinkling fairy lights strung across the ceiling, which looked gorgeous during dinner.

Our stunning place setting board was made by a close friend and I cried when I saw it. It was even better than I could have wished for! I told her the theme and she ran with it, I take no credit for it at all!

She also kindly did the brilliant sweet table!

This is just a taste of the day, I will blog about table decorations, favours, dresses, suits, jewelry, transport, flowers and accessories soon!
